
The
Dragon's Den Dojo is the Honbu (Head Quarters) for the Classical Budo Association Malta. The Dojo officially opened its doors in May
2000 and is dedicated to teach Martial Arts in a correct way and up
to the highest standards that are required in Japanese Budo.
Dojo means 'hall of the way' and generally refers to a Martial Arts school, where one learns
self-discipline, respect towards others and the art of perfection.
The Dojo is a privately owned building, built to the highest safety
standards and licensed with all the local permits to operate
specifically as a Martial Arts school. It is air-conditioned, fire
and theft protected.
The Tatami / Training Mats (Agglorex) are Olympic Standard and
comply with the new European Standards EN12503-3.
The fitted carpets around the Tatami and in the
changing rooms are treated against asthma, and other allergies. Air
circulators and blowers ensure adequate filtered fresh air at all
times. It is also sound proofed. The management of the Dojo, always
makes sure that the Dojo is clean at all times.
There are separate changing rooms, showers and toilets for ladies
and gentlemen and a first aid room, besides private facility for the
instructors, and an office upstairs equipped with telephone, fax,
computer and media instruments, all of the latest technology to keep
the management fully adjourned.
It is built after the traditional southern European style with
oriental decor inside and is dedicated mainly to the Classical Arts
of Japanese Budo. The Dragon's Den Dojo has a reputation as one of
the finest Dojo in existence.
The Dojo is the Official Shibu (Branch) Dojo in Malta of the Dai Nippon
Butoku Kai Kyoto Japan, the prestigious and premier Martial
Arts Society aiming to restore the Classical Tradition and Legacy of
the Japanese Budo (Martial Way / Way of Combat).
