It was exactly 10
years ago, on Tuesday the 16th of May 2000, that the Dragon's Den
Dojo opened its doors for the first time. The first Seniors Jujutsu
Class took place on that day. Since then, the Classical Budo Malta
and Dragon's Den Dojo, led by Shihan-Dai Christian and Roderick
Brothers Bajada Renshi, have gone from strength to strength,
achieving countless number of honors and successes in the process,
which are impossible to list in this short article.

All this was made
possible by two people who were the masterminds behind the success
of the Dragon's Den Dojo. These are no other than Mr. Raymond Bajada,
President of the Classical Budo Malta and Father to Christian and
Roderick Bajada Renshi, and the late Mr. Joseph Bajada, Grandfather
to both Renshi Brothers Christian and Roderick who also served as
Vice-President of the Classical Budo Malta for the first crucial
seven years.
Thursday 20th May
2010 was therefore chosen as the official day for the initial
celebration of this occasion. A small yet special Taikai was held at
the dojo which consisted of an Enbu Taikai (Demonstrations) and
Koshu Kai (Training Session). The Enbu Taikai consisted of various
demonstrations by the students of the Classical Budo Malta
Honbu (HQ) Dragon's Den Dojo, who covered a vast array of basic to
advanced Waza and Kata of Jujutsu, Jojutsu, Bojutsu and Iaijutsu.

The Brothers Bajada
Renshi, assisted by Kevin Enriquez Sensei, demonstrated and guided
the students in a set of chosen Jujutsu techniques implicating the
effectiveness of this Art with fast and precise
straight-to-the-point movements. All those present were presented
with an official exclusive certificate which was specially crafted
for this occasion.
This event came to
an end with a small social celebration when Nathaniel Camilleri, the
youngest student present, cut the cake which was specially tailored
to depict the occasion of celebration. The final celebrations of
this Anniversary will be held in the Annual Taikai at the end of the
year.
Thank you to all
those who participated in making these 10 years 'most impeccable'.
