National Budo Taikai and Awards 2011 - 16th / 17th December

Friday 16th and Saturday 17th December were another two important days on the Classical Budo Malta calendar of events. The Dragon’s Den Dojo hosted a Koshu Kai (training seminar) for all the adult students of Classical Budo Malta on Friday and a Junior Koshu Kai on Saturday morning, as part of the annual Rensei Taikai, followed by the Enbu Taikai (demonstration ceremony) and an award ceremony crediting the technical, personal and professional achievements attained by various students throughout the year 2011.

Spread upon two days of intense training,  the annual Rensei Taikai showcased a number of techniques especially adapted to fulfill the unique purpose of instructing the participating students in the most technical, yet simplistic, way possible. Assisted by a group of dedicated Yudansha instructors, Christian and Roderick Brothers Bajada Renshi  performed and delivered a series of combination techniques emphesizing the effectiveness of Jujutsu.

Following the Junior Taikai, the Enbu Taikai was officially opened by a series of demonstrations by both Junior and Senior students. Christian and Roderick Brothers Bajada Renshi, together with a number of Yukyusha and Yudansha students, demonstrated in various arts that featured the mastery of Jujutsu,  Iaijutsu, Bojutsu, Jojutsu and Hojojutsu. The formal award session right after the Enbu Taikai, proved the perfect closure to yet another memorable occasion.
